Massive flash floods have devastated vast areas across eight districts in the Chattogram and Sylhet Divisions. Approximately 3 million people are stranded, with their homes, crops, and livelihoods washed away. Eight districts in Bangladesh – Sunamganj, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Feni, Cumilla, Noakhali, Khagrachari, and Chattogram – are currently inundated due to heavy rainfall and upstream flooding. They are in urgent need of emergency relief.
Feni and Noakhali are experiencing their worst flooding in three decades. The scale of destruction is overwhelming, with entire communities cut off due to failing communication lines. These catastrophic floods have left many without food, clean water, shelter, and essential medical supplies.
